Flexibility That Enhances Weather Resistance
Rubber-like SBS-modified asphalt provides excellent flexibility that enhances resistance to cracking and lets AS II shingles lay flatter in colder temperatures (40°F or higher) than GAF’s standard asphalt shingle, with excellent granule adhesion per ASTM D4977 — an easy-to-handle, dependable option for varying climates.

Class 4 Impact Resistance†
Passes UL 2218 Class 4 — a 2” steel ball dropped twice from 20 feet with no ruptures or cracks through the shingle. May qualify for insurance discounts in hail-prone areas.
